One of Burnham on sea and District Lions, ongoing community service projects, is the collection of used spectacles for distribution to third world countries.

This year so far we have passed to our fellow Lions at the Lions Club of Chichester nearly a thousand pairs.

A whole network of Lions clubs participate in collections nationwide and pass them to Chichester.

They have made a special project of this work for many years and now run a highly efficient collection and distribution service.

We hope to have more collection points in the future.
